Here's a silly word problem from a New York Times article about something else. It made me do a little arithmetic, a lot of re-reading and then a bit of eye-rolling. Is there even enough information here to find the answer?

I am not sure the idea is correct , I learned in china , when we have to solution it's like this :
1. mathematical operation including addition , multiplication ,subtraction, and division Ooops! One of the CLIP students wrote this, but I'm not deleting it in case it's interesting to someone else. Feel free to delete, math people!
